Sometimes repairs are necessary

Hi all,
Craig and I had a great day at Okemo last friday. We found plenty of snow other than groomers. This time we skiied from Jackson Gore back towards the South side. Finished the day in the Glades, perfect, plenty of soft bumps and as we spoke to a couple patrollers getting ready for sweep they told us that they sweep the glades at 3pm put keep the rope down as they expect only good skiers in there. So we kept lapping it up; on the last run I caught an edge and it started coming off the ski. By the time I got back to base 4' of edge was off, not broken or bent but out of its groove, bummer my fav skis! So I called the main man, Josh A. He said to use slow curing epoxy, I kept the ski warm and dry (70F), cleaned the groove well with acetone and toohpicks, let that dry and then applied the epoxy with more toothpicks and gently clamped it, I said gently because if you skeeze to hard you deform the base. Let it dry for 24hrs and presto back in business.
Yes, I will have it stone ground  and waxed too but mainly I am ready for Alex's arrival and more adventures
Enjoy the pics
